Barcelona booked their ticket to the Spanish Super Cup final by beating Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in a match that brought them together , Wednesday, in Saudi Arabia, in the semi-finals. Gavi scored the first goal for Barcelona after a cross from Balde, which the young midfielder turned into the net in the 17th minute.
Winger Lamine Yamal doubled the score in the 53rd minute with a shot from inside the penalty area. Bilbao scored two goals in the final minutes, but the referee disallowed both goals for offside.
Barcelona will play in the final scheduled for next Sunday against the winner of the second semi-final match that will bring together, Thursday, Real Madrid and Real Mallorca.
