Manchester City booked their place in the FA Cup fourth round with an 8-0 win over fourth-tier Salford City in the third round on Saturday. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola made nine changes to the team that beat West Ham United last weekend in the league but all of his lethal weapons were on the bench in case of emergency.
Manchester City ended the first half of the match at the Etihad Stadium with a three-goal lead through goals from Jeremy Doku, Devin Mubama and Nico O'Reilly in the 8th, 20th and 43rd minutes.
In the second half, Jack Grealish added the fourth goal from a penalty kick in the 49th minute in what was his first goal in over a year fir the cityzens. Meanwhile, and James McAtee scored a hat-trick in the 62nd, 72nd and 81st minutes, while Jeremy Doku scored the eighth goal from another penalty kick in the 69th minute.
In another match, Liverpool achieved a big victory over Accrington Stanley, who plays in the second division, with four clean goals to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup.
