The head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, posted a picture of Mohamed Salah in Al Hilal Saudi jersey on his personal page on the social networking site "Facebook", indicating that the player has joined the Saudi League.The picture of Mohamed Salah was published without any comment, which increased the mystery and speculation.
Earlier, the Spanish newspaper "Relevo" revealed in a report that Mohamed Salah had agreed to move to Al Hilal Saudi Football Club next season. Mohamed Salah's (32 years old) contract with the English team expires at the end of the current season, amid reports of negotiations by the Liverpool management to persuade the Egyptian star to renew.
The newspaper "Relevo" reported that Salah agreed to play with Al-Hilal Club next season and represent the team in the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States.
For his part, the editor-in-chief of the Spanish newspaper "Marca", Jose Felix Diaz, spoke in statements via the "Dorina Gher" program, on Tuesday evening, about the possibility of Liverpool duo, Uruguayan Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah, joining Al-Hilal, saying: "Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal are competing to include Nunez, and from my point of view, the English club will also lose the services of Salah and Dutch Virgil van Dijk."
Jose Felix Diaz added: "We may see Mohamed Salah next summer in the Saudi League, as it is the closest direction for him if he leaves Liverpool, as he is not thinking about the European leagues, and the possibility of his participation in the Club World Cup with Al-Hilal is possible."
The Saudi Al-Ittihad Club wanted to include Mohamed Salah during the summer of 2023, but the Liverpool management and the former coach of the German team, Jurgen Klopp, rejected the player's departure.
Klopp raised the crisis of Mohamed Salah's contract with Liverpool expiring at the end of the current season and not reaching an agreement.
He said in statements to Sky Sports: "I hope Mohamed Salah stays with Liverpool, he is the greatest striker for Liverpool in the modern era."
He added: "Mohamed Salah is a person and a human being and he is very wonderful, he is the best possible ambassador for Egypt, and an amazing athlete."
