The English Premier League top scorers competition intensified after player Chris Wood opened the scoring in his team Nottingham Forest's match against its guest Liverpool, yesterday, Tuesday, in round 21 of the Premier League.

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool player, maintained his lead in the English Premier League top scorers table, with 18 goals, despite not scoring in the Nottingham Forest match.

English star Cole Palmer, Chelsea player, continued to pursue the duo Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland, Manchester City player, in the top scorers table, after scoring a goal against Bournemouth in the match that ended in a positive draw (2-2).

Palmer raised his goal tally to 14 goals in third place in the top scorers table in the English Premier League.

New Zealand star Chris Wood, Nottingham Forest player, raised his goal tally to 13 goals in fourth place in the top scorers table after scoring a goal against Liverpool.
