Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti announced his team's squad to face Austrian guest Salzburg, Wednesday, in the seventh and penultimate round of the Champions League.
The Real Madrid squad witnessed the absence of four prominent players, namely Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal and Eduardo Camavinga due to injury, and Lucas Vazquez due to suspension.
Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Lunin, Fran Gonzalez.
Defense: Alaba, Vallejo, Fran Garcia, Antonio Rudiger, Mendy, Jacob Ramon, Asensio.
Midfielders: Jude Bellingham, Fede Valverde, Modric, Tchouameni, Arda Guler, Dani Ceballos, Chema.
Attack: Vinicius, Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo Goes, Endrick, Brahim Diaz. Real Madrid is struggling this season in its favorite competition, the Champions League, having won only three of its six league matches so far.
Real Madrid is ranked 20th in the Champions League standings (9 points) and needs to win their next match and and the final one against Brest in the last round to revive its chances of finishing in one of the top eight places.
It is worth remembering that Real Madrid is the team that has won the Champions League the most times with 15 titles.
