The Benfica and Barcelona match that took place yesterday, Tuesday, in the Champions League witnessed the events after the "remontada", as a fight broke out between the players of the two teams in the corridor leading to the locker rooms. Barcelona won (5-4) over Benfica, in the 7th round of the league stage of the tournament, at the latter's stronghold, the "Da Luz" stadium.

The Catalan team was able to win the match with a historic remontada, after falling behind 4-2. Flick's men were able to turn the tables and win by one goal.

However, after the match, a fight broke out between the players of the two teams in the corridor leading to the locker rooms, which forced the Portuguese police to intervene to separate them, for fear of the situation developing for the worse.

According to Barcelona's Brazilian star Raphinha , who scored two goals in the match, he was subjected to some insults and slurs from the opposing players, which sparked the situation. Raphinha revealed the details of the brawl that took place, through statements reported by the Spanish newspaper "AS": "We knew it would be a difficult match. I know how difficult it is to play here against Benfica. They have very high-level players. We did not give up despite being 3-1 down. It was a great match for the spectator, and any team could have won."

He added: "I am a person who respects everyone. When I was leaving the field, there were those who insulted me. I responded to them, but I know that I should not have done that."

He continued: "We all lost our temper. If they respect me, I will respect them. This is something that happened there. It is normal in football, especially with an end like this."

When asked if this was the best moment in his career, he replied: "Yes, it might be."

With this victory, Barcelona raised its score to 18 points in second place, while Benfica's score froze at 10 points in 18th place.
