Reports revealed an interest displayed by Jeremy Doku, Manchester City winger, to move to Barcelona on loan in search of regular playing time, especially after the arrival of Egyptian star Omar Marmoush to his club. Manchester City announced last Thursday that it had officially signed Omar Marmoush after his brilliant season with Eintracht Frankfurt, and the player landed on his feet as he started last Saturday's match against Chelsea in the summit of the twenty-third round of the English Premier League.
According to sources, Doku, who joined Manchester City in the last summer transfer period, was hoping to get a bigger role in the team, but the recent signings with new players made his opportunities to participate limited.
As a result, Doku is not satisfied with the current situation and is thinking of changing it, as his agents have offered his services to several European clubs in the current winter Mercato, including Barcelona, which may provide him with more opportunities to play in the starting lineup.
Doku can play on the left side, which is something that no one else in Barcelona has except for Lamine Yamal.
According to newspapers, Barcelona will evaluate this proposal, although the initial response of Doku's agents was that there was no room for salaries in light of the financial crisis that the Spanish club is suffering from.
Doku participated with Manchester City in 22 matches, scoring 6 goals and assisting 7 others.
