The Dutchman Arne Slot, the technical director of the English Liverpool football team, decided to exclude his Egyptian star Mohamed Salah from the "Reds" list for their match against the Dutch Eindhoven in the Champions League, tonight, Wednesday.The Liverpool team will be a guest of Eindhoven club in the eighth and final round of the group stage of the Champions League.
The "Reds" are at the top of the overall standings of the Champions League group with 21 points, and have secured their qualification to the round of 16 and will secure the lead if they do not lose to their host Eindhoven, who is in nineteenth place with 11 points.
The Egyptian star entered the elite list of the 10 top scorers in the history of the Champions League after raising his tally to 51 goals, equal to the retired French duo Thierry Henry and Kylian Mbappe, the current Real Madrid striker.
Mohamed Salah participated in 86 matches in the Champions League, during which he scored 47 goals in the final rounds, including 44 with Liverpool, two goals with Basel, and one goal with Roma, and he also scored 4 goals in the Champions League preliminary qualifiers.

Liverpool's list also excludes the names of a number of other key players, such as Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker, English Alexander Trent-Arnold, French Ibrahima Konate, Dutch Virgil van Dijk, Dutch Ryan Gravenberch, Argentinian Mac Allister, Hungarian Dominik Szoboszlai, Colombian Luis Diaz, English Joe Gomez, Portuguese Diogo Jota and English Curtis Jones.
