Mexican striker Santiago Jimenez led AC Milan to a valuable victory over host Empoli with a score of 2-0, in the 24th week of the Italian Football League, Series A. Portuguese winger Rafael Leao opened the scoring for Milan in the 68th minute, after a wonderful cross pass from Christian Pulisic, which the Portuguese converted with a perfect header that deceived the goalkeeper.
Newcomer Jimenez added the second goal for Milan in the 76th minute, after receiving another brilliant pass from Pulisic. This goal is Jimenez's first with Milan after moving to the "Rossoneri" from Dutch Feyenoord during the last winter transfer period.
The match witnessed two red cards, the first for Milan defender Fikayo Tomori in the 55th minute, and the second for Empoli defender Luca Marianucci in the 65th minute. With this victory, Milan raised its score to 38 points in seventh place in the Italian League standings, while Empoli's score froze at 21 points in 16th place.
