Inter Milan achieved a valuable victory over Fiorentina (2-1) in the match that brought them together on Monday evening, at the end of the twenty-fourth round of the Italian Football League. The "Nerazzurri" team took the lead with a goal that came from "friendly fire" scored by Croatian defender Marin Pongracic by mistake in his own goal after 28 minutes from the start of the whistle.

Italian midfielder Rolando Mandragora responded to a penalty kick to equalize for the guests in the last minute of the first half. Veteran Austrian striker Marko Arnautovic snatched the winning goal for the home team in the 52nd minute of the match that took place at the "Giuseppe Meazza" stadium in the suburbs of San Siro in Milan.

Inter Milan raised its score after this victory to 54 points, reducing the difference to one point between it and the leader Napoli, who fell on its home ground and in front of its fans in a draw trap against its guest Udinese (1-1) in the match that brought them together on Sunday evening.

On the other hand, Fiorentina dropped to sixth place in the "Calcio" league table with 42 points.
