The curtain fell on the first leg matches of the play-offs to qualify for the round of 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday evening, with four exciting confrontations, most notably the losses of the Italian teams Milan and Atalanta.
Atalanta lost to its host Club Brugge of Belgium by one goal to two, while Milan lost away to its host Feyenoord Rotterdam of the Netherlands by one goal.
