French star Karim Benzema continued his brilliance by leading his team Al-Ittihad to achieve a crushing victory over Al-Wehda 4-1 in the match that brought them together yesterday evening, Saturday, in the 20th round of the Saudi League. Benzema scored the second goal in the 45th minute before the end of the first half of the match and assisted two goals for Al-Ittihad.
The French star is having a prolific season, hoping to achieve his first title with Al-Ittihad, which he joined in the summer of 2023 after the end of his contract with Real Madrid.
With this goal, Benzema raised his tally to 15 goals to occupy second place in the Saudi League top scorers list, only one goal behind Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nasr Saudi Club, who tops the list with 16 goals.
