Italian club AC Milan, bid farewell to the Champions League after drawing with its guest, Feyenoord, 1-1, in the second leg of the knockout round qualifying for the round of 16 of the competition. Mexican international striker Santiago Jimenez, who was signed from Feyenoord, scored the first goal for Milan in the first minute, but Julian Carranza equalized for the Dutch team in the 73rd minute.
Milan completed the match with ten players from the 50th minute after its left-back, French international Theo Hernandez, was sent off for receiving a second yellow card for a 'dive' to obtain a penalty kick.
The first leg ended with Feyenoord winning over Milan 1-0. Meaning AC Milan have only made it out of the Round of 16 in the UCL once in the past decade!
The Dutch team will play in the round of 16 with Inter Milan or Arsenal, depending on the draw result.
The draw for the round of 16 of the Champions League is scheduled to take place next Friday.
