Liverpool missed the chance to extend their lead over closest rivals Arsenal, after falling into a 2-2 draw with host Aston Villa today, Wednesday, in a match brought forward from round 29 in the English Premier League.
This stumble came for Liverpool ahead of their awaited match next Sunday against defending champion Manchester City in round 26 of the English Premier League.
With this draw, Liverpool raised their score to 61 points at the top, 8 points ahead of Arsenal (who have played a game less).
As for Aston Villa, they reached 39 points in ninth place.
