Manchester City star Erling Haaland set a new Premier League record during his team's draw with Brighton on Saturday. The Etihad Stadium hosted the match between the two teams in Round 29 of the Premier League, where the two teams drew 2-2, with Erling Haaland scoring Manchester City's first goal from a penalty kick.
According to the Stastriker engine Haaland is the first player in Premier League history to reach 100 goal contributions (G/a) in fewer than 100 appearances. The Norwegian star needed only 94 appearances to achieve this momentous feat.
Haaland surpassed many Premier League stars , such as Alan Shearer (100 matches), Liverpool star Mohamed Salah (116 matches), and Eric Cantona (116 matches).
With this draw, Manchester City temporarily maintained fifth place with 48 points from 29 matches, but it remains at risk of dropping to sixth place if Newcastle wins its next match.
