Liverpool enter race for Gyokeres, Chelsea close in on Gittens, and United could lower Garnacho fee

Liverpool have entered the competition alongside Manchester United and Arsenal to sign Sporting CP’s 27-year-old Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres.

Chelsea are moving closer to completing a deal for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens. The 20-year-old England Under-21 international is valued at around £50m by the Bundesliga club.

Manchester United could be open to offers in the region of £45m for 20-year-old Argentina winger Alejandro Garnacho as they look to facilitate a swift sale.

Newcastle are considering alternatives to Nottingham Forest and Sweden winger Anthony Elanga, 23, including PSV Eindhoven’s Belgian winger Johan Bakayoko, 22, and Borussia Dortmund's Germany forward Karim Adeyemi, 23.
