Football fans will turn their attention to the United States on Sunday evening, where the final of the 2025 Club World Cup will be played at the MetLife Stadium this evening between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.
The match is historic by all standards, as it is the first final between two European teams in the expanded tournament, which includes 32 clubs. Paris Saint-Germain qualified for the final after defeating Real Madrid 4-0 in a one-sided match. Chelsea, meanwhile, defeated Fluminense 2-0 in their semi-final match.
The last meeting between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea dates back to March 9, 2015, in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 at Stamford Bridge, with the French team winning 2-1.
