Roma have strengthened their attack with the loan signing of Leon Bailey from Aston Villa for the 2025-26 campaign, with the agreement including an option to make the move permanent.
The 28-year-old Jamaica international, who arrived at Villa Park from Bayer Leverkusen in 2021 for £25m, has delivered mixed returns in England, scoring 22 goals across 144 appearances. His peak came in the 2023-24 season with 14 goals in 52 outings, though he struggled to replicate that form last term, netting just twice in 38 games.
Bailey signed a contract extension with Villa in February 2024 that runs until 2027, but Roma’s move offers him a fresh start in Serie A and provides Villa with flexibility regarding his long-term future.
