Morocco continued its winning streak in the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, defeating Zambia 2-0 on Monday in the eighth round of the qualifiers. Youssef En-Nesyri and Hamza Ikman scored for the Atlas Lions in the 7th and 47th minutes, respectively.
Morocco achieved its seventh consecutive victory and tops its group with a perfect score of 21 points, while Zambia is in third place with 6 points.
Morocco secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a resounding 5-0 victory over Niger last Friday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, in front of approximately 70,000 spectators.
