Arsenal's Max Duman is threatening to break two records set by Barcelona star Lamine Yamal in the Champions League.
According to Stats Room, Lamine Yamal, Barcelona prodigy, became the youngest player to participate in a European competition at the age of 16 years and 83 days when he played against Porto in October 2023. He also became the youngest player to appear in a knockout stage match when he played against Napoli at the age of 16 years and 223 days. On the other hand there, English player Max Duman who was born on December 31, 2009, and plays for Arsenal's first team, was unable to make his Premier League debut until this year due to competition rules.
Just a few weeks ago, Duman became the second-youngest player in history to appear for Arsenal at the age of 15 years, seven months, and 23 days.
He is aiming to set a new Champions League record. He has also excelled internationally, having put in a fine performance for his country's Under-19 team against Spain on Saturday. Arsenal has included the young player in its Champions League squad. If they play him, he will be the yungest player to feature in the UCL, and if he scores, then the youngest goal scorer in the competitions history. The team will begin its league campaign against Athletic Bilbao on September 16 and conclude its campaign against Club Brugge on December 10.
