Real Madrid vs. Barcelona: Date of the Long-Awaited "El Clásico" Revealed

25 Sep 2025

La Liga revealed on Wednesday the official time and date for the top-of-the-table match, "El Clásico," between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the tenth round of La Liga.

The Spanish newspaper "AS" reported that El Clásico will be held on Sunday, October 26, at 4:15 PM local time, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

This means that the tradition of playing the match earlier, to suit the Asian market, continues.

The newspaper noted that this will be Xabi Alonso's first match in front of fans, under the world's scrutiny, and in the face of what it described as the "Flick curse." Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has managed to win by a wide margin in the El Clásico matches he has played so far.

In the last match, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 4-3 last May, in the 35th round of La Liga.

Real Madrid currently leads the league with 18 points, while Barcelona is second with 13 points, and an additional match could lift them to 16 points.
