Liverpool players may be fatigued heading into their highly anticipated Champions League match against Galatasaray on Tuesday evening, after the Turkish club's fans treated them to a restless night.

Galatasaray fans set off loud fireworks outside Liverpool's hotel in Istanbul in an attempt to disrupt the Reds' stars' sleep.

According to Turkish reports, the provocations began at 2:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, lighting up the sky and disrupting the players' restful sleep inside the hotel.

This type of behavior, while provocative, is common among first-team players, who are accustomed to the attempts of local fans to disrupt their concentration off the pitch.

Galatasaray's match against Liverpool is part of the second round of the Champions League.

This challenge comes at a time when Premier League champions Liverpool need a complete performance from all of their players to face Galatasaray, who are enjoying an exceptional season in the Turkish league, having won all seven of their matches so far.

The Turkish team boasts prominent stars such as Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sané (who both previously played for Manchester City), in addition to Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen.

Liverpool achieved a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid in the first round of the Champions League, while Galatasaray suffered a crushing 5-1 defeat to hosts Eintracht Frankfurt.
