Tottenham nearing new deal for Bentancur, City and Real Madrid track Olise, Arsenal prepare huge Saka offer

Tottenham are close to agreeing a new contract with 28-year-old Uruguay midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, whose current deal expires in the summer of 2026.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on France winger Michael Olise as Bayern Munich consider offering the 23-year-old an improved contract to secure his future.

Arsenal are prepared to offer 24-year-old England forward Bukayo Saka a new deal worth more than £250,000 per week to extend his stay beyond the summer of 2027.

Southampton are planning a January move to bring James Ward-Prowse, 30, back to St Mary’s from West Ham.

Bayern Munich intend to make on-loan Chelsea and Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson, 24, a permanent signing, even if the conditions for a compulsory purchase are not triggered.

Chelsea remain confident they can complete a deal for AC Milan and France goalkeeper Mike Maignan, 30.

Tottenham, West Ham, and Nottingham Forest are all interested in Parma’s 23-year-old Argentine striker Mateo Pellegrino, though the Italian side are reluctant to sell before next summer.

Liverpool could sanction the January departure of England defender Joe Gomez, 28, provided they secure a replacement, with AC Milan showing interest.

After having a loan approach turned down on deadline day, Porto continue to monitor 19-year-old Brighton and England Under-21 winger Tommy Watson.

AC Milan are also weighing up a move for Barcelona and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski, 37.

Argentina forward Julian Alvarez, 25, has dismissed speculation linking him with Barcelona, insisting his focus is on “winning” with Atletico Madrid.
