Barcelona FC issued an official statement revealing the details of the injury of young prodigy, Lamine Yamal, and his participation in the upcoming matches, following medical tests the player underwent lately. The Catalan club announced via its Twitter account: "The discomfort in the groin area that player Lamine Jamal suffered after the Paris Saint-Germain match has returned. He will miss the Sevilla match and is expected to recover within two to three weeks."
Lamine Yamal had returned to Barcelona's squad for the La Liga match against Real Sociedad after recovering from the injury, before the injury recurred during the 2-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona will face a difficult match against Sevilla on Sunday evening in the eighth round of the Spanish League.
The new injury will prevent the young star from joining the Spanish national team during the upcoming international break, during which the team will play two matches against Georgia and Bulgaria.
