Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025

15 December 2025

With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco fast approaching, interest is growing in knowing the broadcasting channels and the Arab teams participating in the 35th edition of the biggest football event on the African continent.

The tournament kicks off on December 21, 2025, and runs until January 18, 2026, in Moroccan stadiums. Twenty-four teams will compete for the continental title in six groups, in what promises to be one of the strongest editions of the tournament since the number of participating teams increased to 24 in 2019.

Broadcasting Channels

The Qatari network beIN SPORTS has announced that it will be the exclusive broadcaster of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations matches in the Middle East and North Africa region, through its dedicated beIN SPORTS MAX channels.

The network will provide live broadcasts of all matches and comprehensive analysis of the tournament's events, offering complete coverage of every moment of the competition.

Participating Arab Teams

The tournament features strong participation from several Arab national teams, considered among the continent's top sides. These include: Morocco (the host nation), Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan, and Comoros.

These teams qualified through rigorous continental qualifiers. Morocco secured automatic qualification as the host nation, while the other Arab teams advanced after intense competition in the qualifying groups.

Tournament Format and Groups

The 24 participating teams are divided into six groups of four in the first round. The top two teams from each group advance to the Round of 16, along with the four best third-placed teams.

The groups have resulted in a balanced representation of the continental teams. Morocco stands out in Group A, while Egypt leads the Arab representation in Group B.

Group A: Morocco (host) – Mali – Zambia – Comoros

Group B: Egypt – South Africa – Angola – Zimbabwe

Group E: Algeria – Burkina Faso – Equatorial Guinea – Sudan

Group C: Tunisia – Nigeria – Uganda – Tanzania

Arab teams have raised their expectations for this edition, especially after achieving strong results in recent continental tournaments, such as Egypt's qualification to compete for the title, and the improved performance of North African teams like Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, which indicates a high level of competition and technical skill.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is an opportunity for the continent's teams to prove themselves on the world stage before the next World Cup finals. It also represents a platform to showcase new players and create memorable football moments for fans.
