The draw for the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey, held on Monday, has set up a challenging encounter for Barcelona. The reigning champions were drawn against Albacete, a team from the second division.
Albacete, the only non-La Liga side remaining in the quarter-finals, qualified after eliminating last year's runners-up, Real Madrid.
The quarter-finals will also feature a clash between Deportivo Alavés and Real Sociedad, while Atlético Madrid will face Real Betis, and Valencia will take on Athletic Bilbao. The quarter-final matches will be played between February 3rd and 5th, 2026.
