Raheem Sterling’s representatives are in discussions with several Champions League-level clubs, with Tottenham and Burnley also monitoring the England winger’s situation, while Cole Palmer remains beyond Manchester United’s financial reach.

The representatives of England winger Raheem Sterling, 31, who left Chelsea by mutual consent earlier this week, are understood to be in talks with seven clubs competing in the Champions League that are interested in securing his signature.

Tottenham are giving serious consideration to a move for Sterling, now a free agent, with head coach Thomas Frank said to be supportive of the potential transfer.

Burnley, along with Serie A sides Juventus and Napoli, are also tracking Sterling’s situation.
