Premier League title holders, Liverpool FC, have revealed the length of Dominic Szoboszlai's suspension following his dramatic sending off during the Premier League match against Manchester City. Szoboszlai received a straight red card in the 90+13th minute of Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday after his challenge on City striker Erling Haaland, who was through on goal.
According to Liverpool's official website, Szoboszlai will only miss Wednesday's match against Sunderland in the 26th round of the competition.
According to league regulations, a player receives a one-match suspension for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity, unlike violent conduct, which usually results in a three-match ban.
Liverpool's points tally remains at 39, placing them sixth in the table, with 11 wins, 6 draws, and 8 losses in 25 matches.
Manchester City's tally rose to 50 points in second place, with 15 wins, 5 draws and 5 losses in 25 matches.
