Brazilian star Neymar Jr. sent a special gift to his close friend Lionel Messi and his three sons: Santos FC jerseys bearing the iconic number 10 and signed by him. Santos FC posted a photo on their official account showing Messi with his sons Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro holding the jerseys, accompanied by a touching message: "From Neymar Jr. to Lionel Messi... From the prince to the genius. The sacred, priceless jersey, bearing the number immortalized by the king. 10 for Neymar, 10 for Messi, 10 for Pelé. An eternal legacy in the history of football. Greetings from Vila Belmiro, Lionel Messi!"
This special gesture brings to mind the strong bond that united the two stars since their golden days at Barcelona, where they formed the legendary MSN trio with Luis Suárez, leading the Catalan team to a historic treble in the 2014-2015 season, in addition to winning eight titles during their time together.
Despite Neymar's record-breaking transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, the duo reunited at the Parisian club in 2021 before parting ways in 2023. Messi moved to Inter Miami in the United States, while Neymar had a stint with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia before returning to his boyhood club, Santos.
Messi continues to shine in MLS, having led Inter Miami to several titles, most notably the MLS Cup, the Fan Shield, and the MLS Cup. Meanwhile, Neymar is striving to rediscover his form with Santos after a difficult period plagued by injuries.
