Spanish media reports have revealed that Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush, a Manchester City star, is among the top attacking options being discussed in Spain after his name was mentioned by Barcelona. Transfer journalist Akram Konur stated on his X platform account that Marmoush has entered Atlético Madrid's radar.
The report explained that Atlético is closely monitoring the player's situation and considers him their primary attacking option should Julián Álvarez leave during the upcoming transfer window. The Madrid club believes Marmoush fits their style, which is based on high physicality, thanks to his high work rate, pressing ability, and direct style of play. With the uncertainty surrounding Álvarez's future, Atlético has begun preparing alternative plans, and Marmoush tops their list.
The 27-year-old Marmoush joined Manchester City in January 2015 from Eintracht Frankfurt for €75 million. He has made 49 appearances for the English club, scoring 12 goals and providing 5 assists.
