Tottenham Hotspur are facing a defining moment in their season, with the club’s Premier League status under serious threat and mounting uncertainty surrounding interim head coach Igor Tudor.
A damaging 3-0 home defeat to fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest has deepened concerns, extending Spurs’ winless league run to 13 matches. The result leaves the north London side 17th in the table—just one point above West Ham United, who currently occupy a relegation spot.
Despite a strong show of support from fans prior to kick-off and a promising first-half display, Tottenham’s fragility resurfaced. Igor Jesus opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time, triggering a second-half collapse that saw the visitors add two further goals as the atmosphere inside the stadium quickly deteriorated.
The scale of Tottenham’s struggles is underscored by their status as one of the world’s wealthiest clubs, making the prospect of relegation—something they have avoided since 1977—particularly alarming. The club has collected just 30 points from 31 league matches, matching their lowest return at this stage of a campaign in the modern era.
Tudor, appointed following the departure of Thomas Frank, has endured a difficult start, losing five of his seven matches in charge across all competitions.
