The young Turkish star, Arda Güler, gave his team, Real Madrid, a perfect start in the difficult second leg against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening, in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Güler needed only 35 seconds to beat veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, after the latter made a terrible mistake on a rebound. The Turk pounced on the ball and fired it directly into the empty net, sparking wild celebrations among the Real Madrid players and fans.
This goal is the fastest goal scored in this season's Champions League.
The first half ended with Real Madrid leading 3-2, although the first leg, played last week in Madrid, ended in a 2-1 victory for Bayern.
