Barcelona Set Up Another Final Showdown with Lyon

Barcelona booked their place in the Women’s Champions League final after a thrilling 4-2 win over Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp, sealing a 5-3 aggregate victory and setting up yet another clash with Lyon.

Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Barca delivered a clinical performance in front of more than 60,000 fans to reach their sixth consecutive final - and their fourth meeting with Lyon in seven years.

Fast Start Sets the Tone

The hosts made their intent clear early on, with Salma Paralluelo opening the scoring by finishing Caroline Graham Hansen’s cross at the back post.

Bayern responded quickly, as Pernille Harder led a counter-attack before setting up Linda Dallmann for a first-time equaliser.

Barcelona regained control soon after, with Alexia Putellas capitalising on a defensive error to restore the lead in a frantic spell that saw three goals in nine minutes.

Barca Pull Away After the Break

The second half saw Barcelona take firm command.

Ewa Pajor converted Paralluelo’s cross, while Putellas added her second with an acrobatic volley following a set-piece.

Harder managed to pull one back for Bayern, but it was not enough to halt Barca’s momentum.

The German side came close to adding more, with Arianna Caruso and Dallmann both hitting the woodwork, while a late Harder goal was ruled out for a foul.

Emotional Return for Bonmati

There was also a special moment as Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati returned from injury, making her first appearance since November.

“I’m so happy to be back,” she said.

“To reach another final after everything means a lot - this team is incredible.”

Paralluelo the Difference

Paralluelo was at the heart of Barcelona’s attacking threat throughout, combining brilliantly with Graham Hansen and playing a key role in multiple goals.

Her pace, movement, and creativity caused constant problems for Bayern’s defence, underlining her growing influence at just 22 years old.

Now, Barcelona are just one game away from European glory once again - with familiar rivals Lyon standing in their way.
