Press reports have claimed that Mohamed Salah, the Egypt national team captain, has reached an agreement with the Turkish club Beşiktaş to join their ranks on a free transfer during the current summer window.
According to sports journalist Nicolò Schira, writing on the "X" platform, a preliminary agreement has been reached for a contract running until the summer of 2027. Under this deal, Salah would earn an annual salary of €12 million, with a clause granting both parties the option to extend the contract until the summer of 2028.
Schira noted that the Beşiktaş management is highly optimistic about finalizing the deal in the coming days, as the team's coach, Vincenzo Italiano, continues to push for the signing of the Egyptian captain.
He added that the club's management is currently finalizing the last details before the official announcement, with expectations that the deal will be completed shortly.
Mohamed Salah has achieved numerous titles, trophies, and records during his tenure with Liverpool. Beyond Beşiktaş, Salah has also been linked to various Saudi and American clubs interested in securing his services for the upcoming football season.
