Liverpool FC and adidas have officially unveiled the club's 2026/27 away kit, reviving the iconic look of the Reds' legendary mid-1980s teams with a modern twist.
Inspired by the away shirts worn between 1985 and 1988, the new jersey pays tribute to one of the most successful periods in Liverpool's history, blending classic design elements with adidas' latest performance technology.
The shirt features a clean white base accented with strawberry red and grey detailing, drawing directly from the club's historic away kits while delivering a fresh, contemporary look.
A standout feature is the return of the heritage Liver Bird crest, paired with the iconic adidas Trefoil logo on the chest. Together, the two emblems celebrate a memorable era for Liverpool and the enduring partnership between the club and adidas.
The retro-inspired design is completed by a classic V-neck collar, matching red and grey sleeve cuffs, and adidas' signature three stripes running across the shoulders.
Adding another nod to the club's rich history, the fabric incorporates a bespoke engineered pattern inspired by historic Anfield match tickets and season tickets. Vintage ticket graphics are subtly woven into the material, honouring generations of supporters who have passed through the famous turnstiles at Anfield.
Performance remains at the heart of the jersey's design. Constructed using lightweight, body-mapped engineered fabrics, the kit offers enhanced comfort and freedom of movement, while adidas' advanced CLIMACOOL+ technology helps regulate body temperature through improved moisture management and strategically placed ventilation.
The 2026/27 away kit is completed with strawberry red shorts and white socks, featuring coordinated detailing and adidas branding for a distinctive matchday look.
