Al-Nassr has put an end to the speculation regarding the current summer transfer window by officially announcing the acquisition of Portuguese midfielder Samu Costa. The club had been struggling with a financial crisis that hampered its activity in the transfer market since the start of the window, before finally obtaining financial solvency and settling all its administrative matters.
Al-Nassr revealed the completion of the Costa deal on its official X platform on Sunday, through a promotional video in which the Portuguese player appeared as a warrior, signifying his readiness for upcoming challenges. According to press reports, Al-Nassr had reached an agreement with Spanish club Real Mallorca to sign Costa last July for €9 million.
Al-Nassr will begin its new season on Saturday, August 15th, when it hosts Al-Fateh in the first round of the Saudi Professional League, aiming to defend the league title it won last season after a seven-year absence.
