Sevilla have completed the signing of Scottish striker Robbie Ure from Swedish league leaders IK Sirius for an initial fee of £5.5m.
The 22-year-old completed his medical on Monday before signing a five-year contract with the La Liga club, where he will have the opportunity to lead the attack at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
Sevilla will pay €6.5m (£5.5m) up front for Ure, with a further €2.5m (£2.1m) potentially due in add-ons.
Ure will become only the third Scottish-born player to represent Sevilla in an official competition, following Ted McMinn in the 1980s and Duncan McVean Thomson during the 1915-16 season.
Sevilla also highlighted two other notable Scottish connections while announcing the transfer. Jock Wallace managed the Spanish club during the 1986-87 season, while Edward Farquharson Johnston served as Sevilla's first president.
The former Scotland Under-19 international has attracted interest from across Europe following an outstanding campaign with Sirius.
Ure has scored 20 goals and provided three assists in 20 appearances across all competitions during the ongoing Swedish season.
His career began at Rangers, where he scored once in three senior appearances before moving to Belgian side Anderlecht in 2023. However, opportunities were limited in Belgium, with Ure making just one senior appearance for the club.
A move to Sweden proved transformative.
Since joining IK Sirius in March 2025, Ure has registered 31 goals and seven assists in 50 appearances, establishing himself as one of the most prolific forwards in Swedish football.
His 15 league goals this season have helped fire Sirius to the top of the Allsvenskan, where they hold a commanding 12-point advantage shortly after the midway point of the campaign.
Despite his impressive club form, Ure remains uncapped at senior international level and was not included in Scotland's World Cup squad.
The striker is also eligible to represent Ukraine but has yet to commit his international future to either country.
Ure said last month that his preference is to wait for an opportunity with Scotland, leaving the door open for a potential senior call-up as he begins the next chapter of his career in La Liga.
His move to Sevilla represents a major step forward following his prolific spell in Sweden, with the Scottish striker now set to test himself in one of Europe's leading leagues.
