Tottenham in Talks With Manchester City Over Savinho and Omar Marmoush Double Deal

Tottenham are in talks with Manchester City over a potential double transfer for forwards Savinho and Omar Marmoush as they look to strengthen their attack.

Negotiations between the two Premier League clubs are progressing, although an agreement has yet to be reached.

Tottenham's interest in Savinho is long-standing. Spurs explored a move for the Brazilian winger in 2025, but the 22-year-old ultimately decided to remain at the Etihad Stadium.

However, Savinho was limited to just seven Premier League starts last season and is now open to leaving Manchester City. He joined the club from French side Troyes for £30m in 2024.

Marmoush could also be on the move after struggling for regular opportunities under Pep Guardiola during the 2025-26 campaign.

Manchester City signed the Egypt international from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59m in 2025. The 27-year-old scored eight goals in 36 appearances across all competitions last season.

City's valuation of the two forwards remains unclear, although the club would expect to generate a significant profit from both players should deals be agreed.

Tottenham Target Attacking Reinforcements

Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi has already overseen a major midfield overhaul this summer, with Mateus Fernandes arriving from West Ham and Sandro Tonali joining from Newcastle for a combined £185m.

Attention has now shifted towards strengthening Spurs' attack following a disappointing Premier League campaign.

Tottenham finished 17th last season and scored only 48 goals across their 38 league matches, highlighting the need for greater attacking quality.

Savinho would provide additional pace and creativity from wide areas, while Marmoush would offer De Zerbi another versatile option across the frontline.

Cody Gakpo Also on Tottenham's Radar

Spurs also retain an interest in Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, although their ability to finance a move for the Netherlands international could depend on developments surrounding Savinho and Marmoush.

Completing deals for all three attackers would represent a significant financial commitment following Tottenham's substantial investment in Fernandes and Tonali.

Manchester City, meanwhile, have already sanctioned several departures this summer, including Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders and second-choice goalkeeper James Trafford.

Tottenham begin their Premier League campaign away to Brentford on Saturday at 17:30 BST, while Manchester City host Bournemouth on Sunday at 14:00 BST.
