Mikel Arteta has backed his Arsenal squad to deliver after the Premier League champions failed to land a marquee forward during the summer transfer window.
The Gunners missed out on attacking targets Morgan Rogers, Vinicius Junior and Julian Alvarez, with Greek winger Christos Tzolis arriving from Club Brugge as their only new addition in the final third.
Arsenal's attacking options were also reduced by the departures of Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli.
Despite those exits, Arteta insists he is satisfied with the players at his disposal.
"I love the players that we have, that is for sure. It is what it is, this is what we have and we already have some very, very good players," Arteta told reporters on Friday.
"Let's trust them and let's make sure we are right behind them, and I will do everything we can to help the incredible talent that we have."
Asked whether Arsenal had missed an opportunity to sign another world-class forward, Arteta refused to dwell on the club's unsuccessful pursuits.
"I don't know. These are just opinions," he said.
"The window is closed and I prefer to look at all the incredible things that we have in the squad and not spend any more time on things that are not a part of us right now. That's it and that's my main responsibility."
Following Arsenal's agonising defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final in May, Arteta called on the club to be "very ambitious, very fast and very smart" in the transfer market.
Despite missing out on several attacking targets, the Spaniard believes Arsenal achieved those objectives.
Bruno Guimaraes and Ezri Konsa were among the new arrivals at the Emirates Stadium, while Piero Hincapie completed a permanent move after spending last season on loan with the Gunners.
"One hundred per cent ticked," Arteta said.
"The outcome after can be different to what you expect, but the intention was certainly there which is what I value most."
One of Arsenal's most significant departures was Martinelli, who ended his seven-year spell in north London by joining Saudi side Al Hilal in a reported £60 million ($81 million) deal.
The Brazilian made nearly 300 appearances for Arsenal during his time at the club.
"He goes with our gratitude," Arteta said. "It's been a pleasure to work with him, to be part of this journey with him."
Attention now turns to Sunday's Premier League showdown against Chelsea at the Emirates, with both London rivals having opened the season with two consecutive victories.
Arsenal could, however, be without Guimaraes and Cristhian Mosquera after both suffered injuries during Monday's 1-0 victory at Aston Villa.
The pair will be assessed following Saturday's training session before a decision is made on their availability.
Jurrien Timber, meanwhile, is closing in on his return from a groin injury and could feature for the first time since the Champions League final.
"We'll decide tomorrow after training," Arteta said. "He's in really good condition at the moment."
