Former Leicester City and England striker Jamie Vardy has completed a move to Burnley on a deal running until the end of the season.
The 39-year-old returns to English football after leaving Italian side Cremonese during the summer.
Vardy had joined the Serie A club in 2025 following the end of his memorable 13-year spell with Leicester City.
He arrives at Turf Moor with Burnley enduring a difficult start to life back in the Championship.
The Clarets are bottom of the table and remain without a victory after five matches under new manager Nicky Hayen.
Vardy said Burnley's history and passionate support played a role in his decision to join the club, adding that he is eager to help turn their season around.
The veteran forward brings considerable experience to the Clarets.
After joining Leicester from non-league Fleetwood Town in 2012, Vardy went on to score 200 goals in 500 appearances for the Foxes.
He remains Leicester's record Premier League goalscorer with 145 goals and was a key figure in their remarkable 2015-16 Premier League title triumph.
Vardy also represented England 26 times, scoring seven goals.
Burnley were relegated from the Premier League last season and have struggled since returning to the second tier.
Their latest setback came on Saturday when they surrendered a late lead to suffer a 2-1 home defeat against Bristol City, conceding twice in the final 10 minutes.
Hayen believes Vardy's experience could prove crucial as Burnley attempt to climb away from the bottom of the Championship.
The Clarets boss highlighted the striker's leadership and proven goalscoring record, expressing confidence that Vardy can make an immediate impact during the remainder of the campaign.
